Yup, it’s that time again where I say “wow, it’s been a long time since I last posted”.  And it’s true but it’s not the point.  I no longer own any of my stuff related to littlbuger.info and as such have more time to deal with my family and work and whatnot (yes, that was the excruciatingly short version of the whole long story, but whatever).  Thus this will probably be my last post here as there’s really no point, though I’m sure no one cares as my blog never really got read by anyone.

But just in case, thanks and farewell.  Here’s a couple final pictures that I thought were funny.  Enjoy…

Yes, it’s been a long time, I know. I’ve just been FAR too busy with, well, life. Work, Family, and more work and family, throw in heaps and heaps of stress and drama, and that’s my life. Oh yea, don’t forget to suck away all of the money too, gotta make it challenging.

Anyway, I thought the following was funny enough to post about when I had a few minutes. Basically titled:

Don’t Piss Off An Engineer

Don't Piss Off An Engineer

Gotta love it! :D

Oh, and by the way, for some reason, I hate the new admin interface of the latest WordPress. I have no idea why they changed it like this. It’s like they wanted to make it even harder to do and find things, and to click 3 times as much to do 1 thing. Oh well…

Until next time… which may be ???

Oh Jewlzk, my old, good and faithful host, where have you gone?  You were so great to me for that entire year I was with you, especially you Roland, and now it seems you have nearly disappeared from the planet.  I usually blame myself mostly as I know, at the time, I was one of your largest clients and it was because of the help of me you were getting an investor.  Everything was looking up and you were definitely growing.

Then, at least from your perspective, I was all of a sudden leaving with no prior warning.  I couldn’t afford the near $1000 a month for my servers anymore and found another hosting company, of similar size, who not only could give me something better and cheaper, but whose support seemed to actually exist.  Yes, that’s right Jewlzk.  Though you were so good to me for so long and one of the best hosts I’ve ever had, support response times diminished over the last few months while I was there and other issues kept cropping up when they shouldn’t.

So I decided to move, right at the same time the new investors were coming to kind of audit you and assess the situation, I’m assuming to see if you did actually have all of the clients and cashflow you said you had.  And I had to screw that all up and just leave without a trace.  I’ve always felt extremely terrible for doing this as I know you’re a good guy Roland and just always wanted to help.  And, being as I’m a host myself, I know it’s hard to find and keep good paying clients.  But sometimes enough is enough and for more professional reasons than personal, I had to move.  I had to do what I had to do in order to survive.  I couldn’t pay that high price anymore (at the time, nearly all of my revenue to pay for my servers came solely from advertisements) and I couldn’t sit and wait for answers like that.

So Jewlzk, I’m sorry I had to leave, I’m sorry I had to screw it all up for you, but you promised you said all was OK anyway.  You said that you understood and that you would continue on and help out others in need including your still current clients.  But it seems you may have lied to me there… I don’t know.  I still trust you and think you’re a good guy Roland, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.  I just want to know, where art thou gone Jewlzk?  Please come back in all of your previous splendor… or at least stop by and say hello like the good old times…  Please?

So my wife is in a panic last night as she’s behind on the general household chores and grocery shopping (as usual) and we’re having guests over tonight, so things need to get done.  She doesn’t have the time as she takes forever to do things and takes even longer with the 3 kids we happen to have.

So to help her out even more than I’m already doing, I decide to do some shopping for her.  She says we need just 4 things at Costco.  I say fine, that’s not bad, just write me a list and I’ll go.  So she does and I go and all seems fine.  I get there and find 3 of the things on the list easily, after some serious walking around as the store is huge.  Then I’m a bit frustrated as I can’t find the damn paper towels after I’ve been around the store 3 times.  They just happen to be far in a corner, a corner easily missed, behind a lot of stuff… who would have thought.

So after about 40 minutes of shopping which should have taken 10 I get to the checkout.  After waiting my turn, I put my 4 lonely items on the checkout belt and begin to pull my check card (which can do debits or credits) to pay.  After the nice $80 price tag rings up (for 4 items!) I slide my card and then… but wait a minute, there’s no option to choose a credit instead of debit.  So I cancel it, try again, and still find there’s no way to do a credit instead of a debit.  So I ask the cashier how to do so, she says you can’t do credit unless it’s American Express, though a debit should work just fine.  I say I don’t have American Express and I don’t know my PIN as I never do debit.  I then realize I also don’t have any checks (as I rarely do anyway).  She says, well, we can hold the items for you until you get back.  I say I don’t have time for that I’m in a hurry and can’t go all the way home and then back.  She says, “Ummm…. well….”  “Alright then, cya I guess,” I say as I leave…

…  Wait… what???  Hold on a minute here… you’re telling me a huge national multi-million (maybe billion) dollar foodstuff and other goodies store such as this does NOT take any credit cards other than American Express?!  Seriously?!  All that I ask is, why Costco, why?  It seems to be the dumbest business decision, especially for a business that large, anyone could make.  All I’m saying is, I want a piece of your sweet American Express deal as you MUST be getting a damn sweet deal with them to be able to do that.

Anyway, I call my wife as I’m leaving the store, empty handed, explaining the situation.  She says, “Well yea, didn’t I tell you that already?”  :-|

Finally, someone out there has expressed my pain in such a way that I never could.  And the story is called: Why I’ll Never Make Digg Popular

Not only does it express my feelings about Digg.com (even though I still like it), it expresses a bit about my feelings posting ON MY OWN BLOG!  So that’s why there’s few articles here, but I just don’t give a rat’s ass.

Enjoy your day!

Life just sucks… but that’s mainly because I don’t have the money I require (not just want) or the time to enjoy it. And that pisses me off beyond belief… then just add the fact my wife is more annoyed by it and rants about it to me makes my life suck all the more.

So, anyway, yea, I don’t have much to say, though I should keep trying to update this thing. I’m just so damned busy with other things.

In a quick conclusion, if you need hosting of any kind, buy from me, http://billing.littlbuger.info . You need the hosting, I need the money. Got it? Good!

Well, I know it’s been awhile again, but oh well. Life is busy, suck it up.

I just had to post today because I came across such a cool site and idea: The PimpStar

The PimpStar is a huge leap forward in the evolution of the wheel. With the PimpStar’s built-in full color LED lights, microprocessor and wireless modem, you can display virtually any image, including text, graphics, logos, and even digital photos!”

Now, to me, when I first saw this, other than the ridiculously stupid name, I thought it was a neat idea. That was, until I watched the ‘promo/demo’ video: PimpStar Video

I’m not going to spoil anything, but seriously… seriously??!! Then I saw the price neat the bottom of the page… yea… no thank you.

Oh, and the picture of the day is: What Video Game System Should I Own?

Thanks for playing! :)

As per Neowin.net and this link:

Happy New Years folks and that means it’s time for New Years resolutions. We have some suggested resolutions for the PC Industry that will help them…and us!

#1 To the PC Makers: Stop pre-loading shareware. Nothing is more annoying than getting a new PC loaded with “trial versions” of programs. Just stop it.

#2 To Microsoft: Get Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista out there ASAP and make sure IE 7 doesn’t hang anymore for no apparent reason.

#3 To Apple: Get that 3G iPhone out the door sooner rather than later. GPS on it would be nice too.

#4 To the RIAA: Just stop it. I mean, seriously, just stop.

#5 To Jack Thompson: Get a new hobby. Better yet, get a life. In a world in which one can’t escape “The Girls Next Door” on TV are video games really a threat?

#6 To Google: Please make a Project Management extension to Google Calendar!

#7 To the BluRay and HD-DVD consortiums, please find a way to work together. You’re just slowing down adoption (massively).

#8 To Amazon: Just because you think it might be patentable doesn’t mean you should try to patent it.

#9 To Bloggers: This year is the US Presidential Election. Just remember, just because someone doesn’t agree with your political opinion doesn’t mean they’re a bunch of sub-human monsters who eat babies.

#10 To Internet Users: Just remember that there is another person on the other side of that screen. Just because they aren’t there to punch you in the nose doesn’t mean you should surrender any semblance of civility on-line.

Have a Happy New Year!

Dec 17

So yea, been a while again, sorry, suck it up, I just forget or don’t have time.  And no one sent me a Nintendo Wii so I’m not gonna try hard.

Anyway, not a whole lot of other things are happening other than gobbs of stuff to do at work, crazy wife and chaotic kids, having my bank account near bottom out, and me with no time to do what I really, really want… you know, same old, same old.  I finally finished completely redoing a friends PC after it’s been a big POS for 1.5 years.  Only took me 3 days during a 2 week time period.  All I want to do now and forever is play the latest games and watch the latest movies and so on and so forth, but I can’t, and I’m sad.  And yes I’m pissing and moaning but that’s how it is.  You never know, maybe someone will throw me a bone.  I mean, shoot, if we even had $1 million, not only would WE be set for life, but we could help many OTHERS be set.  But alas, the really rich people don’t really ever donate or help the little guys like me, people like me who know how to save their money and spend it wisely and live off of ’small’ amounts of interest for years… no the rich blow their money as fast as they get it or just are greedy bitches and keep it all to themselves even though they’ll never spend more than 20% of it all.  Anyway…

Enough rants for today, someone finally put out an article worth reading.  It’s about the lovely transformation your PC will have when you UPGRADE (yes, upgrade) from Vista to XP!  For those of you poor people whom I pity so much who either got stuck with Vista or decided to downgrade to it, I’m sorry, but maybe this article will help wake you up a bit, you damn fools.  Here’s the Link.

Oh, and I guess here’s a pic of the day: Coolest Cop Ever

Nov 13

Well, I thought I might as well fill more of my blog with crap and post some of my favorite quotes. What’s better than posting new crap? Quoting old crap! :D

Quote 1: “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.” - Albert Einstein

Quote 2: “Computers are really strange - first everything works fine, then something goes terribly wrong and nothing works, and then - like a thunderbolt from a clear sky, everything is back to normal again. It’s like nothing ever happened. Like the computer were female.” - Unknown

Quote 3: “Some people say that I must be a terrible person, but it’s not true. I have the heart of a young boy. In a jar on my desk.” - Stephen King

Quote 4: “If there is anything the nonconformist hates worse than a conformist, it’s another nonconformist who doesn’t conform to the prevailing standard of nonconformity.” - Bill Vaughan

Quote 5: “Microsoft Windows [n.]: A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can’t stand one bit of competition.” - Unknown

BONUS: Some Rock-Paper-Scissors fun!
